Greg Wilson is an Oscars Short-Listed and Emmy and International Documentary Awards-winning Director & Cinematographer. A former professional snowboarder, Wilson turned to photography after a career-ending injury. A natural-born storyteller and experienced traditional B+W and platinum printer, Greg is an Eddie Adams Workshop alum and spent 8 years as a photojournalist for publications including Rolling Stone and National Geographic Magazine before transitioning into cinematography and directing.

In 2008 Greg became the first Vision Research certified Phantom Camera Technician and was on the development team for both the Phantom Flex2K and Flex4K camera systems. He cut his teeth as an early DIT designing workflows with early digital camera systems on large commercial and narrative film sets before moving up to camera operator. He was a camera operator on The Wolf of Wall Street with Leonardo DiCaprio, Bel Canto with Julianne Moore, Selfless with Ben Kingsley, Ninja Turtles, The Sopranos and many others before stepping into the role of cinematographer. As a DP, he has shot 4 narrative feature films, nearly a dozen documentary films and a vast number of commercials.

Greg works as a director and director of photography (often at the same time) on a wide variety of projects and his diverse background and skillset allows him to be equally comfortable in an intimate dramatic scene, a deeply personal interview or the backseat of a fighter-jet filming massive thunderstorms.

Always pushing for innovation in his work, Greg became known for designing and crafting unique solutions to previously impossible cinematic shots, often in extreme environments. Greg’s drive to innovate and engineer new ways of storytelling brought him to co-found and build V/SPEED Films and assemble their elite production team to drive the future of filmmaking.
